Indonesia has thousands of islands and one of the most famous is Bali, it is super touristy but still has many natural places.
The most famous beach is Kuta, however it is very crowded so I decide to stay in Seminyak, which is close but much more peaceful.
With the cyclone arriving in Cairns, I to anticipate my arrival to Bali and what I discovered was that the next day my arrival has the Day of Silence (Nyepi Day), that is, everything closes and nobody can go out on the streets.
I had to buy everything I needed, because the next day we had to stay at the hostel.
If the police catch someone on the street they can arrest you.
So I spent the day on the internet and watching movies on Netflix.
The next day, there was a festival known as Ngembak Geni, several ceremonies take place where relatives and friends ask for forgiveness from each other.
These ceremonies are part of the Balines New Year festivities.
I stayed at Seminyak beach and went to visit Kuta, Padang Padang, Legian Beach, etc.
one of the most interesting things in Indonesia is the amount of temples, there is one every meter.
Its most famous is Uluwatu temple.
After a few days I moved to the interior of the island – Ubud.
On the way to Ubud I passed the Tanah lot and Pura Gunung Lebah temple.
Ubud is a very busy city, with lots of bars, many clubs until late, shops and many temples.
One of the most famous places is Monkey forest, it has more than 1200 monkeys.
Around the city there are many temples like, Tirta Empul, Goa Gajah, Gunung Kawi, Pura Taman Saraswati.
Another famous tour is the trek to Mount Batur (Kintamani), which is a volcano. Strong climb but easy.
Then I took a bus to Padang Bai and a boat to Gili Trawangan
